I’ve noticed a strange noise coming from the left/bottom side of my Mk5 GTi. At first, it didnt really bother me, given there is 220k on the clock already.. so I thought it’s de dual mass on it’s way out. Recently we dropped the oil pan, and while we were at it, inspected the dmf. There wasn’t really any slack, so I started wondering, what else could it be? Here is a link to the vi

That's good that you can wait for nice weather and go out and enjoy it. Plus hopefully you'll get many more years. It's nice you've had it so long, you don't have to think about what work may need doing and wether it had a hard life.

I was going to put an RCD 330 in with the wireless android and carplay dongle, but decided against it because apparently there are some fakes getting supplied. I then decided to get a JVC M785DBW . I haven'#039t had a chance to really get in to using it but my initial thoughts are positive. I still need to route the microphone properly and wire the live in properly. [url=htt

I had this exact problem on my Edition 30 last year when I bought it.
I did a number of things which sorted the issue and I'#039ve not had it since:
1. Remove the flow restrictor in the clutch bleeder block (on the front of the gearbox from front of engine bay). nbsp (It'#039s a little tiny piece of plastic with a hole in it) nbsp It is designed to slow down the clutch en

Firstly driving position!!!🫣#129763 It’s like sitting in a lorry (truck), taking left or right turns was also funny!😅#128517 A LOT more bodyroll!!😁#128513😁#128513 But still enjoyable😍#128525 Don’t know if you’ve

Hello all, this is my first post, so I hope I'#039m in the correct part of the forum... Apologies if not, I'#039ll learn. I'#039d like to ask you experts a not so simple question please. I'#039m looking to buy a stage 1 mapped Mk 5 GTI in the coming months, year probably around 2008 ish, hopefully relatively low mileage. My question is in two parts. (

I mean the vacuum pump seals - seems to have done the trick for me. nbsp I think it is a pretty sensitive engine with regards vacuum etc.
I actually tried to check and replace the 3 plastic o'#039rings on the VVT housing myself on the weekend because I have an ongoing slight idle misfire. nbsp I also needed to replace the cam cover gasket too - Annoyingly I didn'#039t get the whole

If you ever have to do this again you can access the lower T25 screw by pulling out the headlight washer. There’s a hole that allows direct access to it, add a long extension to your T25 and your able to get directly too it, can take the headlight out in a few mins, just don’t drop the screw :(
